Mature legal systems

New Zealand's legal system is based on the English common law tradition, sharing many similarities in laws and principles. The country is recognized as one of the safest globally, with low crime rates, minimal corruption, stable political and economic conditions, and a highly effective justice system.

Over the past 25 years, New Zealand's economy has consistently grown, with only a slight impact during the global financial crisis. It is considered an attractive destinations for business and investment. Regulatory changes in the financial sector are carefully designed to balance investor protection with business interests.

All market service operators are required to hold a license when dealing with retail investors, ensuring accountability and transparency. Key regulatory bodies, including the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the New Zealand Treasury, and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, work collaboratively to uphold and enhance fair, efficient, and transparent financial markets. These organizations prioritize addressing conduct that poses significant risks to achieving these objectives, fostering a stable and investor-friendly environment.

New Zealand Financial Markets Authority licensed PFD as a Derivatives Issuer as per the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
